The magic eraser is an excellent cleaning tool that can remove mineral, soap scum and other deposits from the shower glass. Just wet it, squeeze, and erase. Just like vinegar, it is a powerful and versatile tool to keep around the house.

6) Chemical cleaner

Sometimes stains are so persistent that the eco-friendly way won’t cut it. In this case, make sure to use a cleaner that is designed to clean glass showers. Try to avoid spray as you may inhale chemical substances when applying it to the glass.

How to prevent your shower glass from getting dirty

Even if you still need to clean your glass showers, some tips exist to make this cleaning less frequent.

Air ventilation

Make sure to keep your bathroom well-ventilated to prevent the growth of mould and mildew. If your ventilation system doesn’t do enough, make sure to keep the shower door open after each shower, and leave a window open. If after all of this you still have mould appearing, consider using a dehumidifier.

Use the squeegee to clean the shower glass

It is only when the drops of water on the glass dry off that all of the deposits appear. Do not give to mould and mildew a damp environment to thrive in. Hence, the best thing to do is to give a good squeegee to the glass after each shower. You will then have to clean your shower glass less often.

Use special products for your shower glass

Nowadays, to making glass showers less tedious to clean, you can apply specific products that will clad a thin protective layer onto the surface. This layer will then keep the glass off from scum and limescale. You can either find it in the form of spray or wax. Usually, you will need to reapply the product onto the panel once a year.
