I have a villeroy boch 2.0 soft close toilet seat. The hinge into the broke. I recently ordered new hinges and the same thing happened again. Do you think it’s a fault with the actual toilet seat and I just need to order a whole new kit.

The Soft close system only works with the hinges. I can't say whether it is the hinges or the assembly.

I would suggest that you first check these two elements with the manufacturer's customer service department, especially if you have recently changed the hinges.
