Short history

In 2000, Frank Yang, who emigrated to the United states in 1982, founded simplehuman. The company started with the idea of making good trash cans. Since 2001, the company sells other kitchen and bahtroom products. In 2003 the company opened an office in England to reach the European market.

In 2010, the company introduced motion sensor-activating trash cans. 2013 was the year that de brand implemented these sensors in de cosmetic branch. An example of these cosmetic items with sensor are the shaving mirros.

Mirrors

The mirrors have a build-in sensor which automatically activates lighting in the mirror. When you come closer with your face to the mirror, the light will turn on. The system stimulates natural sunlight so you can easily see colour variation. They are rechargable with a USB-cable and last a long time after a charge.
