What makes Duravit so special? An original design, a consistency of technological improvements, so many other features that benefit customers.

Partnering with well-known designers such as Philippe Starck, Matteo Thun, and Antonio Rodriguez, the brand offers a modern design. In the past, the aim of a bathroom was only to fulfil our essential needs however during the 80s that has changed significantly. People claimed more individuality and started seeking personalized products that offer specific designs and sizes. Duravit was one of the first manufacturers to notice this change. It then adapted to meet the customer’s expectations.

With the help of the famed architect Dieter Sieger, standards were set making their product a modern-day classic. Nevertheless, the real breakthrough occurred in 1994 while partnering with the trendsetting designer, Philippe Starck. Duravit’s identity was created and with their new modern-day classic designs, the company disrupted the entire bathroom sector.

For the past 200 years, the company never stopped improving and kept their focus on making products more sustainable. Innovative installation elements, many technological and product developments. To keep their products on top of the technology, they constantly come up with new technologies.

As a result, they have created the technologies WonderGliss or SENSOWASH® which gives Duravit’s toilet an easy to clean feature and shiny finish. DuraSolid® which gives the products a superior build appearance; but also maintain the colour of the products throughout the uses. And finally, to making it easy for the designers to create washbasins that only five millimeters thick rims or rimless toilets. Duravit synthesized its own material DuraCeram. This afford them to push further the limits of creativity.

These are only a few examples of Duravit competences. In fact, the brand continues to set trends while simultaneously focusing its product range as a brand manufacturer of modern designer bathrooms.
