Tall Bathroom Cabinet

Column units are not only a very practical piece of furniture, they can also add a touch of style to your bathroom. Column units take up less space than other storage items such as tall bathrooms cabinets so they are great for optimizing space. They also have as sturdier structure than other items so you can put more weight on them. How to choose your bathroom shelf?

Column units can either be fixed to a wall or just stand on the floor. They usually have one or two sliding or pivoting doors. Most models today do not have knobs but "push to open" doors and for those which do have knobs, they are discreet in a chrome metal finish. Column units usually have between three to six wooden shelves, though the shelves are sometimes made of other materials such as glass and can be organized in the same way as in Vanity Units .

We generally advise to choose the model with the most organizing space if you have a medium sized bathroom. A column unit with 3 shelves is perfect for a big bathroom. The width and the height of your unit will essentially depend on the size of your bathroom and your own height. To make things more comfortable for you, the highest shelf should be easy to reach. The width of a column unit ranges from 11" to 14" and the height can go up to 70". If you have a small bathroom, 11'' to 13'' in width is enough but if you are not limited by space, you can look into at larger model. Of course, you will also want to find the right colour unit to go harmoniously with the rest of your bathroom. We advise to go for black, grey or white if you have a modern bathroom and wood if you are more into natural/traditional looks.

An alternative to Vanity Units

Some column units have a power outlet (very useful if you need to charge up your electronic devices) and lights. Some units like the Duravit Vera have two big mirrors, one on the inside and one on the outside and create an impression of space in your bathroom.
